About Canada law book company limited
Canada Law Book (although there was a failed merger attempt at one point with Reed Elsevier in 1996); and now is part of Carswell. Before, they had, as “associate companies”: Dye & Durham, Dye & Durham B.C., Emond Montgomery and Western Legal Publications. Its roots go as far back as 1855, when the company first published the Upper Canada Law Journal. Then before the turn of the century, the publisher produced Canadian Criminal cases, and later the Dominion Law Reports.
